A municipality of Negros Occidental, Don Salvador Benedicto is one of the best places to unwind and relax for your short break. It is located at the center of the Negros Island, near Bacolod City. It is best known for its cool temperature and ambiance due to its high amplitude from the mountains. So to mark the places you wanted to visit, here are the 4 tourist spots that you don't want to miss at Don Salvador Benedicto.

1. Malatan-og Falls

Malatan-og falls in brgy. Kumaliskis is one of the well-known gems of Don Salvador Benedicto. You can take a closer look and enjoy the view of the falls via hiking; that would take an hour estimate. A few portions of the trek are a bit steep, so be careful and ensure you are wearing shoes or sandals with a good grip. In the meantime, you'll be rewarded with the enormous view you got. You can also stop just along the highway, which is the Viewing Deck of malatan-og falls. The place offers a spectacular view overlooking the Malatan-og waterfalls. If you want to take a good shot of the falls from the viewing deck, you can use your telephoto lens or fly your drone.

2. An enormous area of pine trees

The place for the beautifully-grown pine trees lined the main thoroughfares of about 1.7 kilometer stretch of road from Barangay Igmayaan to Poblacion proper, which gained recognition as a well-maintained place. You can definitely smell the fresh scent of mother nature once you are in the pine trees' middle. This place is considered a peaceful tourist spot, where you can meditate and take every breath with nature. The property is privately owned but is fortunately open to the public for free. Hopefully, they accept visitors who want to do a picnic.

3. Clear view of Mount Kanlaon

Don Salvador Benedicto has mostly no presence in commercial establishments. You will only see people living at the side of the main road and sugarcane fields. It means finding a clear view of Mount Kanlaon and DSB's natural surroundings is not hard to find. A simple drive through its roads and highways will give you stunning views of Mt. Kanlaon.

4. Rise and Shine with Mountain View

You might not know that accommodations are limited in Don Salvador Benedicto because you will only find a few resorts here. But the place called "Nesto's Place" has a great history behind family stories that make every customer have a great experience. It is a private resort that can also be used as a venue for rent.
